Not only does Burnett paint the familiar scenes of Paris but he divides his time capturing the popular attractions of Venice as well. If you've been to Paris and had the time, you most likely toured the artist colony of Montmartre. You had to come across the small gallery featuring the works of Burnett. I did. My business is to be observant when it has anything to do with a good painting for a great price. Consider his paintings as you would a souvenir of a place visited or of a place you'd like to visit.

I photographed the signature and will have it posted in hopes of having it deciphered perhaps by one of you.

The canals in Venice are it's streets and the quickest way to travel is by foot, thanks to the bridges which link the small islands. If you are going a long distance, a water bus is used. This sounds like fun for the tourist but for the residents? Then again, why wouldn't it be delightful on a full time basis?
