The pedestrian bridge links Venice's small islands and the artist must have been under a spell to have produced a volume of these romantic scenes. A biography is not available but we know he's romantic.

No papers bearing the history of the artist. Just another little jewel and a great find by the gallery because as I looked through my collection only two 12"x16" pieces remain and four 20"x24" pieces. The larger pieces, 24"x36" and 30"x40", have been sold. No better barometer than a depleted inventory that I made a good choice in my purchase.

I have another piece to compliment this one, same artist, frame and size.

a very successful career painting old world Paris street scenes. She has been quite content painting for the pleasure of her collectors and never seeking further acclaim nor notoriety. I have always counted on Gaston's art work when I proposed the charm of Paris for a selective client.

This is a Commemorative Silk-screen #13 out of a series of 15 commemoratives that were produced over a four year period which were published after his death in 1984.
This piece was never framed or matted. It was purchased by me in the eighties along with others, CN#10, CN#12,CN#15 and there are several of each. I was on a subscription plan so I kept a percentage of the pieces in the gallery's archives until now. I've decided to part with them. They need a home.

I didn't purchase them for investment but for their beauty and high quality printing.

Everyone by now knows that I accept a fair offer and that I am not interested in purchasing the one you have. Thanks anyway.
