Piazza San Marco by Irving Amen

Original Woodblock Engraving
Pencil Signed Artist Proof
Paper: 17"x21.50"

Having been an auctioneer for the Todd Gallery in the sixties and early seventies, I don't believe conducting an auction without two or three Irving Amen woodblocks listed in the catalog. Before I was given a chance to explain the media or mention who the artist was or his accomplishments the bidding began. The first Irving Amen I sold was "Many Children Dwell In My Father's House". It was held up for auction at the starting price of $75 framed and the final bid I received was $400 and an applause from an excited audience.

Thank you Mr.Amen for the pleasure I had and still have in selling your art work.
The Piazza San Marco posted here has a few slight remnants of tape at the outer edge of the paper. The intrinsic value of the work remains intact.

More Than You Know by Mary Vickers

Mixed Media on Paper
Pencil Signed
Size: 25"x27" Full Bleed
Edition: 125/350

Mary moved from London where she was born in 1940 to New York in 1960. Mary became internationally acclaimed for the way she depicted children in a peaceful
and beautiful world which was and is her reality. She used her children as models.

She eventually turned to painting glamorous women bringing out her romantic side and still achieving her attitude of love and peace. In "More Than You Know" she has combined lithography, silk screening and the use of rhinestones and sequins making each piece an original work of art by applying these various articles by hand.

Mary's work was a favorite among my auction bidders, usually leaving with more than one piece. Her work is timeless. The pieces I kept for my personal collection are now in the safe keeping of young family members who were thrilled to have acquired them.

Her work is represented in many prestigious collections: The Bradford Museum in Chicago and United Nations New York City, etc.
