Persian Girl I by Mara Abboud

Brilliant colors achieve jewel-like tapestry effects resembling stained glass.
The artist was born in 1949 and is presently enjoying her successful career. She is the sister of Joseph Abboud the international designer. Her works were in the collection of the former World Trade Center. I haven't seen works of art as beautiful in detailing as Abboud's.

  1. I found the "Two Elephant" picture by the artist Mara Abboud. Her name is signed on a white mat. I think its a print, but Im not sure. Can someone give me a value?

  2. Hi Laura,

I can only quote a price for my Abboud pieces and as I am depleting inventory they will be less than the true market value
    I'm sure.
What the price of your piece is, I don't know, especially if it was signed on the mat, it could be a photographic reproduction. You have to show it to your local gallery so that it can be identified. I can't tell either what medium it is.

    Good luck,

  3. My mother who passed away last summer has this picture in a frame 0 it is signed and numbered 10/225. I assume it is also an original silk screen then. I was going to give it away or just put in in a garage sale but I wonder if it is worth more than that ? Thanks
